The Oxford Chinese Economy Programme (OXCEP) has today funded a graduate scholarship for DPhil study in Clinical Medicine at St Edmund Hall, in the amount of £20,000 for the Academic Year 2018-2019. OXCEP Chairman Dr Frank Hwang presented the funds to Principal Prof. Keith Gull and Senior Tutor Prof. Robert Wilkins in a meeting at the Principal's Drawing Room of St Edmund Hall this afternoon. The recipient(s) of the OXCEP Graduate Scholarship in Clinical Medicine will be selected and announced by St Edmund Hall next month.

As one of the most ancient constituent colleges in the University of Oxford, St Edmund Hall aims to further its various China development projects. The OXCEP is a task force specifically established for St Edmund Hall in May 2013 and solely based at St Edmund Hall, in order to spearhead and implement such projects. Professor John Knight, Emeritus Fellow of St Edmund Hall and OXCEP Academic Director, takes primary responsibility for the academic contents of the OXCEP related events, courses and programmes. Ms Helen Chen serves as OXCEP Administrative Director since its inception in 2013.
